You can form teams and a team ranking so that you can predict with your friends and colleagues and not just against them. Every registered prediction player can become a member of a team. All settings, registrations, cancellations and information about the teams can be found under "My team". You can then switch between individual and team rankings in the overviews.
Creating a team - team leader
Any player who is not yet a member of a team can create a new team. As the team founder, they automatically take on the role of team leader, who can decide who becomes a member of the team.
Management of team members
The prerequisite for joining a team or founding a team is that you have registered as a player in the prediction game. In principle, team formation should be completed by the start of the prediction game. Therefore, you can no longer join a team as soon as you have reached more than the number of points set by the administrator as a player. However, if you want to join a team during the prediction game, you can create a second user name.
There are then two ways to join a team as a prediction player:
Invitations
The team leader of a team can invite players to join their team. If you have entered a valid e-mail address, you will be informed of the invitation by e-mail. The invitations are displayed on the "My team" page. If you accept the invitation, you are immediately a member of the team.
Applications
On the "My Team" page, players can also apply to join a team. The team leader will then be informed of the application and can then decide on "My team" whether the prediction player will be included in the team.
The team ranking
In order to be able to compare teams that have a different number of members, an average number of points is calculated per team for the team ranking. This means that the sum of the points of all team members is calculated and divided by the number of team members.
Submitting the predictions
The predictions from a player's individual ranking are automatically used as predictions for the team ranking. Each team member is therefore automatically represented in the individual ranking.
If players are added to a team during the ongoing prediction game, the matches that have already been played are considered not to have been predicted. A team's points average will therefore drop if players join the team at a later date.
Size of the teams
The administrator of the prediction game determines the minimum and maximum number of members a team must have. When a new team is formed, there may of course also be teams that have not yet reached the minimum number. These teams will only be included in the team ranking as soon as the minimum number of team members has been reached.
