Goal Difference Points Rule

Points | 10 |

Deduction per goal difference | 1 |

Minimum points | 5 |

**General Explanation**

The Goal Difference Rule awards points for a prediction if the tendency has been correctly predicted. The tendency is correct if the winner was correctly predicted, or a draw was predicted and occurred.

The maximum number of points specified under "points" in the chart is awarded for a correct prediction on the exact result.

If the result is incorrect, but the tendency is right, the maximum score is reduced by the set number of points per goal. Here the goal difference of home and away wins is added.

- Prediction: 1-0 - Result 3-1 -> Goal difference = 3 (2 goals for the home team, 1 for the away team)
- Prediction: 1-1 - Result 0-0 -> Goal difference = 2
- Prediction: 2-3 - Result 0-1 -> Goal difference = 4

**Examples for the "Example goal difference rule" rule**

For the "Example goal difference rule" rule, the following scores result:

- Result: "2-1" - Tip: "1-2" ->
**0 points**(wrong tendency) - Result: "2-1" - Tip: "2-1" ->
**10 points**(result exactly right) - Result: "2-1" - Tip: "1-0" ->
**8 points**(10 points minus goal difference: 2 times 1 point(s)) - Result: "2-2" - Tip: "0-0" ->
**6 points**(10 points minus goal difference: 4 times 1 point(s)) - Result: "4-0" - Tip: "3-2" ->
**7 points**(10 points minus goal difference: 3 times 1 point(s)) - Result: "1-0" - Tip: "5-4" ->
**5 points**(10 points minus goal difference: 8 times 1 point(s) is smaller than minimum points, so you get 5 point(s).)

**Variant: "Deduction per Goal Difference"**

In the variant "Deduction per Goal Difference", it is not the deviation from the predicted home and away goals which is taken into consideration, but only the deviation from the predicted goal difference.

- Tip: 1-0 - Result 3-1 -> Goal Difference = 1 (Goal Difference = 2 for the result - Goal Difference = 1 for the prediction)
- Tip: 1-1 - Result 0-0 -> Goal Difference = 0
- Tip: 3-0 - Result 2-1 -> Goal Difference = 2
